Attitude in face of knowledge

i was going to use this time to do some studying, but I thought it doesn't hurt to write my personal opinions on things if i have any-- given that my peers don't really understand or have the time to listen to me rant or take me seriously.

As a BME student, I have had to deal with many group projects, as you may have heard or seen from internet memes that what we are supposed to learn from group projects is --team work, while the reality holds that we should trust no body when working in groups. I agree with the latter and I do think that people should be placed into their field of expertise. Thus more people will be happy and everything will be great.  But I think that people should at least take the chance of challenging themselves in areas they are not good at and become a little wise.

So there is this person in one of my lab classes whom I had never seen done presentation portions other than introduction--easiest of all sections.  I wonder how she is handling the rest of the materials in class.

If you made a mistake, don't try to hide it, come prepared when you are to deliver a presentation. Bluffing or making things ambiguous only going to make other people think less of you.

This is also a note to myself:

Be prepared to answer questions, be honest about your research, follow up with questions unanswered, and not being afraid to say "i do not know the answer to this."

Having the courage to admit that you are not excellent at something is without a doubt better than pretending to be an expert in a field.

I think that's what I wanted to say.
