Hello world, It's good seeing you again. Today has been one of those bumming around kind of day. Evan and my snail passed away yesterday due to our lack of knowledge on the care for snails. She lived for about a semester. I feel sorry because I had neglected her, maybe she needed the love she was given.
Seeing my teenage hood acquaintances growing up is definitely interesting. Especially my high school friends. I don't have much to say about high school, basically all I remember as of right now is just a blur where my mood was not at my best. Well...maybe occasional mood lit up when some boy and I had texted the night before and that was it. I had no idea about further developments in relationship. I thought relationships are basically just platonic hand holding and occasional kissing.
If was not until I came to the states that I realized that things are really different from where I came from. And then a few years passed, looking back on the years I had gone through, I could not relate to myself in the past...yeah I grew up, a person can certainly change a lot in 2.5 years, and I still have 1.5 years to go until I graduate. What would life be like then? I'm excited to see.
Sarcasm and self pity is really not a good combination, especially when you try to degrade yourself and your own race. Yes we were brought up as different individuals in China, but the manners and gestures in our educational system is just a norm, and yes everyone will follow the norm. How each person thinks of that norm is a whole new story. A friend of mine posted on a Chinese website how much she despises a lot of Chinese students in her school for not being motivated enough and just sit in their own sink of filth when all the other American students are studying extra hard while taking care of their family, tending to their own businesses. Those are a few percent of the big population, there are lots of other people that are just like the Chinese students that skip classes and not motivated enough to find jobs.
Anyway, I feel that she should not just make an angry general appeal to the Chinese population.
Shower time.
